Geertje van Bergen

Senior researcher

Geertje van Bergen is a senior researcher at Education Lab and is affiliated with the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She has a background in Communication and Information Sciences (BA) and Linguistics (MA, PhD). Geertje is passionate about language in all its forms. She is fascinated by the human capacity for language and the importance of language for our cognitive and socio-emotional development. At Taallab, she works as a researcher and project leader on various projects (including Pageturner, Pre-teaching, and De Bibliotheek op school Plus), through which she aims to contribute to optimal language development for every child.
