Suzanne de Leeuw is a researcher at Education Lab.  She attained a bachelor’s degree in Sociology at the University of Amsterdam and subsequently succesfully completed the research master Social Sciences at the same university. From 2016 till 2020 she workes as a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Interdisciplinairy Demographic Institute (NIDI). During these years she wrote a thesis on the intergenerational transmission of educational attainment after divorce. In line with this thesis,  her research interests are (educational) inequalities and the link between children’s family situation at home and educational performance at school. Suzanne examines the consequences of COVID-19 for children’s educational outcomes.​
