Roxanne Korthals

Senior Researcher

Roxanne works as a senior researcher at the Dutch Inspectorate of Education (IvhO) and as a research fellow at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA). At the IvhO she works on the annual publication “De Staat van het Onderwijs” (the State of Education), in which she researches trends and developments in Dutch education, and is involved in drawing up the Inspectorate’s broad research agenda. Furthermore, Roxanne deals with innovations in education and the evaluation of these innovations. In the State of Education 2019 this subject received a great deal of attention and as a follow up she aims to discuss the theme of innovation and evaluation as much as possible with schools and boards and give them concrete recommendations. In her scientific research Roxanne also focuses on the tracking of students in educational levels and, recently, on the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on education (outcomes).
